Ingredients

  • 5.33 ounces butter
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 1 pinch ground black pepper

Directions

  1. Take a saucepan and melt butter
  2. Pour into a small pitcher and let it cool
  3. Take a bowl and mix in egg yolks and mustard
  4. Pour butter into a thin stream and keep beating using hand mixer
  5. Leave sediment at bottom
  6. Keep beating until mixture thickens
  7. Add lemon juice and season with salt and pepper
  8. Use as needed!
