The Rutabaga Wedge Dish

Ingredients

  • 2 medium rutabagas, medium, cleaned and peeled
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon onion powder
  • 0.125 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.5 cup buffalo wing sauce
  • 0.25 cup blue cheese dressing
  • 2 green onions, chopped

Directions

  1. Pre-heat your oven to 400 degree F
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper
  3. Wash and peel rutabagas, clean and peel them and cut into wedge shapes
  4. Take a skillet and place it over low heat, add butter and melt
  5. Stir in onion powder, salt, onion, black pepper
  6. Use seasoned butter to coat wedges
  7. Arrange wedges in a single layer on baking sheet. Bake for 30 minutes
  8. Remove and coat in buffalo sauce and return to oven
  9. Bake for 15 minutes more
  10. Place wedges on serving plate and trickle with blue cheese dressing. Garnish with chopped green onion and enjoy!
